Collection’s Highlight: Changeable-Silk Dress
This piece is in exquisite condition, and quite breathtaking in person. The changeable silk is a purple blue color, and although it seems strange contrasted with copper, blue, and white brocade it comes together as a whole very well. The bodice has the common 1850s waist which is dropped much lower than previous styles and decades. The skirt would probably have come out a little more with the use of several petticoats. It also has a set of long tight sleeves that could be attached to the sleeves.
